The Rotary Club of Makati on it’s 50th charter year anniversary, initiated the project, ‘Air Quality Monitoring & Reporting System’ (AQMS) for measuring the levels PM10 and PM2.5 and report the information real-time, in an easily understandable manner to the public. Through this, the information on the levels of inhalable outdoor air pollution, in the form of particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), population exposure, as well as precautionary measures must be available in order to catalyze the government to action and support succeeding regulatory measures.

Prior to July 1, 2009, the Club was operating as a non-incorporated, non-profit community service organization under the name Rotary Club of Makati (RCM) whose Charter was approved by the Board of Rotary International in March, 1966. The assets, liabilities and fund balances of RCM as of June 30, 2009 were assigned to RCMI. It is an operating and grant making organization. Its office is located at G/F MCRFI Bldg., Camia St., Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City.
With 133 members (as of July 30, 2017), the club is the largest among the 91 clubs in District 3830 and the second largest in the country. The Club engages in humanitarian activities, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations and helps build goodwill and peace in the community.
